AWS Elastic Search – Getting Started

Hi,

In this post of devOpsJourney , you will see how to setup “AWS Elastic Search Service and Load / Query your data”.

Step 1: Go To AWS Management Console and Click on Elastic Search Service. Click on Create ElasticSearch Domain.

Enter a desired domain name.

Step 2 : Configure the Cluster by entering node details

Step 3: Enter Storage and other required configuration.

Step 4 : In the advanced option , Enter rest.action.multi.allow_explicit_index as true . Leave indices.field.cache.size blank if you want this parameter as unbounded.

Step 5 : Setup an IAM Policy from where you will be performing Curl operation for Load Data and Query the data.

Step 6 : Review and Create. It will take approx 10 minutes to create the cluster and become available to use.

Step 7 : It should be in the below Active state in order to use.

Step 8 : Now create a json document you want to load to your Search Servers. We named this document as devops-journey.json .

Step 9 : Load data to your Search system by using curl POST command

Step 10 : Query your Search System by query a word in your json document.

So In this way , we can setup AWS Elastic Search Service and Load / Query your data.
